(Neb)-Nebraska Win's Economic Development Award For 2nd Straight Year
LINCOLN, Neb. (AP)- For the second year in a row, Nebraska has won Site Selection magazine's Governor's Cup for its efforts to promote economic development. Site Selection caters to corporate executives, real estate professionals, and consultants who specialize in picking business locations.
In accepting the award, Governor Pete Ricketts said many of Nebraska's projects come from companies that are already located in the state and choose to expand while the magazine's coverage helps raise the state's profile among companies looking for new places to establish operations.
Business officials say Nebraska is well-positioned in the marketplace because of its workforce, low cost of living, and central location for shipping and distribution.
