(Neb)-Good Fundraising And Cash-On-Hand For Ricketts Reelection Bid
LINCOLN, Neb. (AP) - Nebraska Governor Pete Ricketts is in great shape financially for his reelection bid this year.
The annual statement filing with the Nebraska Accountability and Disclosure Commission from Pete Ricketts For Governor shows the re-election campaign ended 2017 with nearly $1.5-million dollars cash-in-hand.
The filing shows the Republican millionaire raised $1,564,184 last year from 1,908 unique donors, including $865,265 from individuals, with $1,474,215 remaining.
Campaign Director of Communications Matthew Trail says the reelection campaign is focused on making the public aware of the governor's "strong record of achievement in growing Nebraska and making state government work better for taxpayers."
Trail says the campaign will continue to work hard on fundraising and all other expects because they're not taking any vote for granted.
