(SD)-40th Christmas In The Hills Continues In Hot Springs Listen
HOT SPRINGS - The 40th annual Christmas in the Hills celebration continues today in Hot Springs and runs through tomorrow. Spokesman Karen Meston says today's centerpiece is the original event of the celebration - the Crafters Marketplace from 9-4:00 at the Mueller Center
Meston says the unique thing about the Marketplace is that everything being sold is hand-crafted, plus there's free gift wrapping.
The Mueller Center will be full of music tonight with the Manger Melodies Concert featuring the Crazy Woman Creek Band. The concert will also include recognizing everyone who has served in a leadership role since Christmas in the Hills began in 1977.
Meston says the time gap between the end of the Marketplace and the concert gives everyone a chance to check out more businesses and restaurants, as well as to experience the Christmas lights of Hot Springs.
Christmas in the Hills wraps up tomorrow with the Shakespeare Club's High Tea from 1-4:00 at the Pine Hills Retirement Center. The club's Christmas Home Tour, which would have been 25 this year, was cancelled because of a lack of volunteer homes.
