(Neb)-New Software Expected To Make Law Enforcement Agencies More Efficent

By: John Axtell Posted at: 11/13/2017 09:51 AM
GERING, Neb. (AP) - The Scotts Bluff County Commissioners have purchased a new $560,000 software system to help law enforcement officers in the Nebraska Panhandle share information on cases, but the new system likely won't be ready to use for more than a year.
Scottsbluff Police Chief Kevin Spencer told KNEB radio it will take time to determine what information to transfer over to the new system from Sioux Falls-based Zuercher Technologies and to do that work at every law enforcement agency.
Spencer said the time and effort will be worth it because once the new system is in place, it will make area law enforcement agencies more efficient.
