(Neb.)-Country Club Road Now Repaired And Open To The Public
(Chadron)-A washout on Country Club Road south of Chadron earlier this week that caused a non-injury accident and closed the road has now been fixed and the road is now open to traffic.
The incident occurred early Wednesday morning when a Suburban came across what was described as a sinkhole on the road. The driver was able to avoid the hazard for the most part, but did have to go off the road to keep from going into the hole, and was unable to drive out of the ditch. Fortunately there were no injuries.
Chadron Public Works Director Milo Rust said that morning that a city line had broken and City crews would work together with County crews to get the repairs made and hoped to have the road opened by Friday morning. Dawes County Road Superintendent Larry Hankin said that the road reopened on Thursday afternoon, and traffic is now able to traverse the road.
