(S.D.)-Mission Man Sentenced For Stealing From Fire Department
RAPID CITY, S.D. (ASSOCIATED PRESS) - A Mission man accused of stealing money and property from the St. Francis Volunteer Fire Department has been sentenced for larceny.
Sixty-two-year-old Harvey LaPointe was sentenced to 1 1/2 years of probation and ordered to pay $4,900 in restitution for the thefts that occurred between August 2009 and December 2010.
U.S. Attorney Brendan Johnson says LaPointe was indicted in federal court in February and pleaded guilty in April.
