OMAHA, Neb. (AP) - The Nebraska Humane Society says it's receiving numerous calls about dogs being left in overheated cars.
The group says in a release that temperatures climbed to 100 degrees Tuesday, and a dog left in a car on a hot day can die quickly.
In one instance, a dog was left in a car where the temperature climbed to 115 degrees. Another dog was subjected to temperatures over 120 degrees.
Both dogs survived after animal control officers rescued them.
