(Neb.)-Drive One 4 UR Community To Benefit Sheridan County Players

By: Chris Fankhauser Posted at: 10/02/2012 10:41 AM

(Rushville)-Ford Motor Company is well known for their charitable giving efforts, and donating to area schools. There is another program done by Ford that may not be as well known, but is just as generous. Drive One 4 UR Community will be taking place in Rushville this weekend, with the same guidelines as the program for schools.
According to Chris Heiser with Sides and Milburn Ford in Rushville, Drive One 4 UR Community will take place on Saturday, October 6, from 10 am to 2 pm, with the beneficiary of this event selected as the Sheridan County Players. Heiser said the organization is a non-profit, and fits the guidelines that Ford Motor Company set forth for this promotion.
For those who may not be familiar with this type of program, for each test drive of a new Ford, Lincoln or Mercury vehicle during this time, Ford Motor Company will donate $20 to the Sheridan County Players. Vehicles will be pre-selected, and waiting for people to drive them at the Plains Theater in Rushville. Heiser said lunch will also be available that day.
The only guidelines are that drivers must be licensed, age 18 or older, and only one per household. Sales consultants will not try to sell the vehicles to those test driving, but if someone would be interested, they could contact a Sides and Milburn representative to set up an appointment at the dealership.
