(S.D.) - Funeral scheduled for MMA fighter in South Dakota

RAPID CITY, S.D. (AP) - Family members were holding a funeral Wednesday for a Sturgis man they say died after a mixed martial arts fight in Rapid City.
The family of 26-year-old Dustin Jenson says he suffered a seizure after a May 18 fight at the Rushmore Plaza Civic Center. His mother-in-law, Violet Schieman, says doctors at a hospital later did surgery to relieve pressure on Jenson's brain, but he was declared brain dead on May 24 and taken off life support the next day.
Civic Center General Manager Brian Maliske says he knew one of the fighters on May 18 became ill but he did not know details.
Mixed martial arts fighters use a variety of techniques, borrowing from boxing, wrestling and various forms of martial arts.
