Funeral services for Mark Goings Sr are Monday, August 3, 2020 at 9:00 AM at the Marvin Goings residence, 50 Pejuta Sapa Road – a mile east of the road near Slim Buttes, SD, with traditional Lakota services by Mr Benedict Good Buffalo

Mark Goings was a veteran of the U-S Army and his burial is Monday, August 3, 2020 at 3:00 PM at the Black Hills National Cemetery in Sturgis, SD
A one-night wake service starts Sunday, August 2, 2020 at 3:00 PM, also at the Marvin Goings Residence
Mark Uriah Goings, Sr. was born on February 7, 1953 in Pine Ridge, SD to Luke Goings and Vivian Frazier-Goings. Mark, Sr. made his journey to the Spirit World on July 27, 2020 in Dawes County, NE.
Mark attended elementary school and middle school in Pine Ridge, SD and high school at Holy Rosary Mission along with other various schools including the Pierre Indian Learning Center.
Mark joined the service after high school and served with the 82nd Airborne Rangers during the Vietnam Era and was stationed at Fort Bragg in North Carolina.
Mark enjoyed reading books, horseback riding, going to Prairie Wind Casino, playing BINGO, traveling, along with many other different hobbies he had.
Mark is survived by his special friend, Nellie Bald Eagle; children, Tomah Goings, Olay Goings, Anthony (Haroldine) Goings of Busby, MT, LaRosa Goings of Ethete, WY, Mark Goings, Jr. of Wounded Knee, SD, and siblings, Leola Goodman, Diane Goings, Allison Goings, Bobby John Goings, and David Goings.
Mark was preceded in death by his parents, Luke and Vivian (Frazier) Goings; siblings, Charlene Black Horse and Luke Timothy Goings; and children, Holly Jo Goings and one child in infancy.
Pallbearers will be Billy Beane, Allen Smith, Chance Clifford-Black Elk, Stan Brewer, Jr., Lorrel Goings, Tre Goings, Kobe Cottier, Duane “Frogg” Brewer, Jr., Norman Two Bulls, Cass Waters, Frank Goings III, and Lonnie Waters
Honorary pallbearers will be all Family & Friends.
