Funeral services for 72-year old John Blair Thunder Hawk of Denver will be Tuesday, Nov 12, 2019 at 1:00 at Father Pauly Hall in Porcupine, SD, with Senior Catechist Ben Conquering Bear officiating and traditional Lakota services with Mr Frances "Chubbs" Thunder Hawk

Graveside Services will be at St Julia's Episcopal Cemetery in Porcupine

Visitation at Father Pauly Hall precede thes funeral starting Tuesday Nov 12 at 9:00 AM

Sioux Funeral Home of Pine Ridge, SD, is in charge of arrangements for John Blair Thunder Hawk.

John Blair Thunder Hawk was born on July 7, 1947 in Alliance, NE to Joseph Thunder Hawk and Philomene Cedar.  John made his journey to the Spirit World on October 31, 2019 at his home in Denver, CO.

John is survived by his children, Julian Thunder Hawk of Seneca, KS, Doreen Sword of Wilmot, SD, Canmaska (Brian Cameron) Thunder Hawk of Watertown, SD, Hilutawin Thunder Hawk of Wilmot, SD, Sophie (Frank) Hoss of Sisseton, SD, and Tiea (Chad) Thunder Hawk-Johnson of Milbank, SD; brothers, Rudolph Thunder Hawk of Porcupine, SD and Steve Thunder Hawk of Sioux Falls, SD; hunka brother, David (Karen) Pourier of Porcupine, SD; sister, Betty Black Crow of Gordon, NE; grandchildren, Chris Anderson, Nicole Anderson, Dustin Vandave, Trevor Anderson, Isabella Jacobson, Dawn Pieker-Sword, Jacob Pieker Sword, Ashlyn Thunder Hawk, Alex O'Farrell, Brooklyn Hoss, Lachasity Finley, Maria Finley, Cedar Finley, Sierra Finley, Cashus Opsal, Caspian Johnson, Aaron Hoss, and Cody Hoss; and great grandchild, Videl Georgo.

John was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Philomene Thunder Hawk; brothers, Herman and Homer Thunder Hawk; sisters, Jessie Marie and Victoria Thunder Hawk; and grandparents, Charlie and Mary Thunder Hawk.

Pallbearers will be Tom Thunder Hawk, Alex O'Farrell, Julian Thunder Hawk, Chris Anderson, Robert Swimmer, and Joseph Romandia.

Honorary pallbearers will be all friends & relatives.
