If you know an outstanding Social Worker, nominate them to be recognized by National Association of Social Workers (NASW) Nebraska during Social Work Month and at our Meet Your Hometown Social Worker event.
To make a nomination, just message NASW Nebraska Facebook with the following information or you can contact Julie D. Eckland at (308) 631-8440:
·         Your name & contact information.

·         The nominee’s name & contact information.

·         Why you are nominating this person to be recognized as a Hometown Social Worker.

·         Do you have a story or specific example you can share of how this nominee upholds the core values of the Social Work Profession?(optional)
Nominations will be collected until Saturday, February 15th.
Nominees will also be honored at our statewide Meet Your Hometown Social Worker events April 4th in Omaha, Lincoln, Chadron, & North Platte. ‘Join’ our Meet Your Hometown Social Worker event page to stay up-to-date on the progress of this event. We plan to celebrate the profession by recognizing the nominees, having free appetizers, silent auctions, & door prizes.
Social Work is an incredibly rewarding profession, but Social Workers often don’t get the recognition they deserve. NASW Nebraska wants to change that! NASW’s 2014 theme & logo was selected “to help raise awareness about the American social work profession’s 116-year commitment to improving social conditions & quality of life opportunities for everyone. Social workers across the globe believe that all people have dignity & deserve respect.”
For additional information, nominations, & to donate silent auction items contact, Julie D. Eckland at (308) 631-8440 or email her jeckland@charter.net.
