06/30/2020 - *Chadron Library Mars Mission Webcast

Join the live webcast on Tuesday, June 30th at 2pm for a virtual exploration of the planned landing site on Mars for the Perseverance Rover.

Attendees at the live webcast can interact with scientists by asking questions (using the chat feature) that relate to NASA's 2020 Mars Mission.

Carter Emmart, Director of Astrovisualization at the American Museum of Natural History, will lead the exploration using OpenSpace, NASA supported software.

Perseverance will launch this summer and head to Jezero Crater, where it will land at the foot of a river delta. Evidence indicates that this area on Mars was a lake during the time period when microbial life was thriving on Earth.
