09/17/2019 - Blood Drive At Chadron State College
The community is invited to make their mark on humankind and help patients in need by joining Cardinal Key at Chadron State College for a blood drive on Monday, Sept. 16, 2019 from 11:00 am to 5:00 pm and Tuesday, Sept. 17, 2019 from 9:00 am to 2:00 pm in the Student Center Ballroom.
By giving blood, donors can leave a lasting legacy on campus and beyond. About 20 percent of the millions of blood donations each year come from young donors, like college students. The need for blood is constant, and donations collected at this blood drive can help meet the diverse blood needs of cancer patients, those being treated for sickle cell disease, accident and burn victims and surgery and transplant patients.
To make an appointment or to learn more, visit redcrossblood.org and use sponsor code “chadroneagles”, download the American Red Cross Blood Donor App, visit RedCrossBlood.org or call 1-800-RED CROSS (1-800-733-2767). Blood and platelet donors can save time at their next donation by using RapidPass® to complete their pre-donation reading and health history questionnaire online, on the day of their donation, before arriving at the blood drive. To get started, follow the instructions at RedCrossBlood.org/RapidPass or use the Blood Donor App. A blood donor card or driver’s license or two other forms of identification are required at check-in. Individuals who are 17 years of age in most states (16 with parental consent where allowed by state law), weigh at least 110 pounds and are in generally good health may be eligible to donate blood. High school students and other donors 18 years of age and younger also have to meet certain height and weight requirements.
