(Neb.)- All-RMAC Softball Names Two Eagles
COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. -- Two Chadron State College softball players were named in Tuesday's All-Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference softball release. Sophomore pitcher Jessica Jarecki was selected to the All-RMAC Second Team, while senior outfielder Aspen Eubanks received honorable mention. Both are repeat award-winners.
All-conference honors were voted on by the conference's 12 head coaches, who could not vote for their own players. Fourteen student-athletes were named First Team and 13 received Second Team honors. Those that received one First Team vote, or two Second Team votes, were named honorable mention.
Jarecki, a native of Littleton, Colorado, is now a two-time All-RMAC recipient after making the Second Team in 2017 as a Co-Freshman of the Year. She tied the CSC single season strikeouts record and has the second-most in a season, so far, of any pitcher in the league since 2011. She also set new season and career records this season for most complete games.
Eubanks, from Broomfield Colorado, has been a four-year starter for the Eagles in the outfield. This is her fourth consecutive honorable mention from the conference, as well. Eubanks ranks fourth all-time with four career sac flies, sixth with 154 hits, and seventh with 20 home runs. She moved up to a tie for eighth-place on Sunday with her 167th career game started.
