(Neb.)- Four On Conference Academic Honor Rolls
COLORADO SPRINGS -- Four Chadron State College basketball players, one from the women's team and three from the men's, made the 2017 Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference Academic Honor Rolls, which recognize student-athletes who have earned a minimum of 3.3 cumulative grade point average through two or more complete semesters at their current schools.
For the women, Kendra Baucom, a senior, led the team with a 4.0 GPA headed into the spring, her final semester of eligibility.
The three men who qualified were redshirt freshman Luke Fick, junior Leigh Saffin, and sophomore Vonsinh Sayaloune. All three earned between a 3.5 and 3.6 GPA.
Others meeting the GPA requirement, but without all the residency qualifications, are Taryn Foxen, Jessica Harvey, Allee Williamson, Jessica Lovitt, Mickenzie Brennan, Bailey Brooks, Savannah Weidauer, Rachel Henkle, Brooke Turek, and Celeste Cardona, for the women, and Jacob Jefferson, Jordan Mills, Eric Jamerman, Michael Sparks for the men. All 13 will be eligible as second-year student-athletes.
The 2018 RMAC Academic Players of the Year are Jason Anderson and Molly Rohrer of Colorado State University-Pueblo.
