By: Jeremy Anderson Posted at: 01/30/2018 10:18 PM
(Chadron)- Powered by 9 made three pointers, Alliance defeated the Chadron boys 59-44 on Tuesday night.  The Bulldogs also went 11-of-16 from the free throw line to just 3-of-8 for the Cardinals.

It's Chadron's fifth loss in a row since losing to Gering on January 19th.

The Cardinals were able to grab the lead early in the game and took a 10-7 advantage in to the 2nd quarter.  After the first 8-minutes were up, the Bulldogs started knocking down shots from the outside, including a long three from Joel Baker just before the break to give Alliance a 25-19 halftime lead.

The threes kept dropping in the third quarter as the Alliance extended their lead out to 45-27, and the Cardianls couldn't find an offensive answer of their own.

Cooper Heusman led Chadron with 10-points on the night, the only Cardinal to reach double figures.

The Cards now sit at 7-10 on the season ahead on Friday's showdown with St. Thomas More in Rapid City.  Tip time is slated for 7:30 p.m.
