(Neb.)- UCF QB, Nebraska Native Comes Home To Huskers
(Chadrad Sports)- Nebraska native and former Central Florida quarterback Noah Vedral announced on his twitter account Tuesday his intentions to transfer to the Cornhuskers.
Vedral served as back up this past season to McKenzie Milton as the Knights finished off an undefeated season last week with a 34-27 win over Auburn in the Peach Bowl.
The Wahoo Bishop Neumann standout was a 3-star prospect who amassed 4, 561 yards and 42 touchdowns through the air and rushed for another 2, 250 yards with 35 touchdowns in his high school career, committed to then UCF and current Nebraska coach Scott Frost in 2016.
UCF granted Vedral his release from his scholarship but did block Vedral from transfering to any school within the American Athletic Conference and Nebraska.
Vedral will sit out one season at Nebraska in accordance with the NCAA transfer rules and will be considered a walk-on for the 2018 season.
In mop up duty this past season Vedral connected on 76% of his passes for 276 yard and a touchdown while rushing for 77 yards and two more scores.
