(Neb.)-Chadron Wins Fog Bowl At Gordon/Rushville
(Gordon, Neb.)-It all came down to the last minute and fourteen seconds in Gordon Friday night, that's when the Mustangs put seven points on the board and took a 13-12 lead over Chadron. It looked bleak for the Cardinals as they faced a fourth and 10 from about their own 18 with only 44 seconds left on the clock.
That is when the fun began for Cardinal fans.
With the help of a pass interference call on GR, Chadron quarterback Coy Bila found Jeff Cerny from 18 yards out and gave the Cards an 18-13 lead with 2.2 seconds left in the game.
Chadron did not get a two point conversion all night but the last one didn't matter and the Cardinals pulled off an amazing 18-13 win over Gordon/Rushville.
Chadron scored first on the night with a Bila to Lemmon nine yard touchdown pass with seven forty two left in the first quarter and that was the way it stayed until Gordon/Rushville star Korby Campbell tied it up with a one yard run just at the end of the third quarter.
