(Neb.)-Chadron Football Friday, A Tale Of Two Halfs
(Broken Bow, Neb.)- 22, those numbers have been common numbers in Chadron High School football this year. In the teams first two games they led by 22-0 at the half.
Friday night in Broken Bow it took the Cardinals well into the second half to score 22 points, but in the end they got the teams third win of the season 22-0.
Neither team put any points on the board in the first half, a half that lasted only forty six minutes. But Chadron came out in the third and wasted little time taking the lead, with an 18 yard Coy Bila to Jeff Cerny 18 yard pass with 7:46 left in the third quarter.
Chadron finished the third quarter with a quarterback sneak into the end zone and put up the final points of the night only a minute twenty into the final quarter.
Broken Bow nearly got into the end zone once but the Chadron defense held on a fourth and short to preserve the shutout.
Bila was 14 of 20 for one hundred one yards in the air, and Luke Tiensvold carried the ball fifteen times for one hundred nine yard, most of those in the second half.
Chadron will travel to Gering Friday. Our broadcast on Stereo AM 610 KCSR begins at 6:25.
