(Neb)-CSC FB Picked 8th In RMAC With 1 Preseason All-Star

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo.- Chadron State was one of the dominant programs in Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference for nearly 20 years, but back-to-back losing seasons - including 3-8 last fall - and gains by other schools have dropped the Eagles in the estimation of league coaches.

Their preseason poll puts the Eagles 8th with just one PreSeason All-RMAC pick, senior LB/DE Colin Eisenman. Coaches could not vote for their own teams.

Colorado State-Pueblo, Colorado Mesa, and Colorado School of Mines were tri-champions last year and are the coaches favorites this year. Pueblo and Mesa each got 4 first-place votes, with the Thunderwolves getting 93 total points to 92 for Mesa. Mines got the other 3 firsts and 82 points.

Dixie State is the 4th pick with 69, followed by Black Hills State with 62, South Dakota Mines 61, and Western State 42. Then it's CSC with 41, Fort Lewis 37, Adams State 25, and New Mexico Highlands 10.
