(Neb.)- Seven Area Athletes Clinch State Berths At District Track
(Chadron)- Four Chadron High athletes qualified for the state track meet at Thursday's B-6 district track meet in Ogallala.
Greta Welch was the lone Lady Cardinal to punch her ticket meeting the qualifying standard clearing 5' 1" in the high jump. Brendinh Sayaloune was the only double qualifier clinching spots in both the 100m with a 1st place finish, and tying for 2nd in the long jump.
Marcus Fernandez claimed runner-up honors in the triple jump, and Dom Nobiling grabbed 3rd in the 110m hurdles.
Kenna Campbell was the lone Gordon-Rushville athlete to earn a state berth taking top honors in the high jump.
At he C-11 meet in Mitchell, Hemingford Freshman Jori Stewart placed 2nd in the 300m hurdles, while Dylan Ernesti will make the trip to Omaha in the long jump.
State track begins May 19th from Omaha Burke stadium.
