(Chadron)- Hemingford held Chadron to four 2nd quarter points and five points in the final quarter to down the Lady Cardinals 49-33 on Tuesday night.
Behind Jadyn McCartney, Chadron had a solid first quarter, as she dropped 10 points but the Lady Cards trailed 13-12 after one quarter.
Much like Mitchell did on Saturday, Hemingford used a strangling defense to force Chadron in to several turnovers and turned them in to fast break points and a 26-16 halftime lead.
Six points from Danielle Johnson in the third quarter helped cut the Cardinal deficit from ten points down to eight heading in to the final quarter, ufortunately for Chadron the fourth quarter looked a lot like the second.
McCartney finished the night with 14 points for the 7-5 Cardinals. Johnson tallied 8, while Teagan Westemeier dropped in 5.
Dana and Dawn Dunbar each scored 2 points as did Shea Bailey.
