The accolades continue to roll in for Chadron State College tailback Glen Clinton, who was recently named to the 2013 Don Hansen NCAA Division II All-America Second Team.
It was the fourth such honor for Clinton, a senior from Cody, Wyo. He was also named to All-America teams by the Associated Press, Daktronics and Beyond Sports Network. In addition to his All-American laurels, Clinton was a finalist for the Harlon Hill Trophy and a Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference First Team selection.
Clinton, a two-time Academic All-American, had a sensational senior season for the 8-3 Eagles. He rushed for 1,518 yards, scored 14 touchdowns and gained 1,923 all-purpose yards. Both totals led the RMAC and he also added 43 receptions for 405 yards. Seven of his runs were longer than 50 yards.
Late in the 2013 season, Clinton became the second-leading rusher in Chadron State history and finished his career with 4,656 yards. He also became just the second player ever at CSC to accumulate over 6,000 all-purpose yards.
He is the only native of Wyoming to be selected on the 2013 Don Hansen All-America Team.
