Michigan State (10-5, 2-0) never trailed, and led by as many as 25 in the second half. The Spartans finished the first half on an 8-0 run, led by six straight points from Pickrel, to go up 37-24 at halftime.

Powers had 15 rebounds in the game while Pickrel grabbed 10. Tori Jankoska and Becca Mills each added 10 points.
