LINCOLN, Neb. (AP) — Nebraska running back Ameer Abdullah is the co-offensive player of the week in the Big Ten Conference. He shares the award with Ohio State running back Carlos Hyde.

Abdullah ran 20 times for a career-high 225 yards in the Cornhuskers' 39-19 win over Illinois on Saturday. He also scored two touchdowns, including an electrifying 43-yarder in the third quarter. He also had two other runs that covered at least 30 yards.

Abdullah goes into this week's game at Purdue with four 100-yard rushing performances this season.

Abdullah's 138-yard average ranks second in the Big Ten and eighth nationally.
