(Neb.)-CSC to host high school meet Saturday
CHADRON – The annual indoor meet sponsored by the Chadron State College track and field team for for high school athletes will be Saturday in the Nelson Physical Activity Center. The field events will launch the action at 9 a.m.
Chadron State coach Ryan Baily said Monday that not all the entries had been received, but he anticipated that about the same number of school that took part last year will compete again. Last year's field included more than 400 athletes from 16 schools. Athletes from the larger schools will compete in Division I and those from the smaller schools will be in Division II.
Schools competing in Division I a year ago were Alliance, Bayard, Chadron, Gering, Scottsbluff, Sidney, Rapid City Central and Rapid City Stevens.
Those in Division II included Bennett County, Creek Valley, Custer, Lingle-Fort Laramie, Lusk, Morrill, Moorcroft, Wyo., and Rapid City Christian.
