(Neb.)-Chadron sweeps Mitchell Tournament

The Chadron volleyball team remained unbeaten Saturday, sweeping three games at the Mitchell Tournament to improve its record to 13-0.

The Lady Cardinals combined for nine serve aces in their opening match, beating Morrill 25-15, 25-15.

Chadron then cruised to a comfortable win over Gordon-Rushville 25-9, 25-13 to move into the championship game.

The Cards won in straight sets once again in the championship, beating Bayard 25-12, 25-16.

Chadron has now won 21 consecutive sets since losing the second set of their match against Sidney on Sept. 11. Their next match will be Tuesday against Gordon-Rushville in a makeup of their season opener that was postponed by area fires.
