Signal - Stereo AM 610 KCSR broadcasts with a non-directional 1,000 watt signal.  It is licensed as a Regional Broadcast Facility.  KCSR is on the air 24 hours a day.  In addition, the Station is heard on Public Access TV Channel 4 in Chadron and Channel 19 in Rushville and Gordon, Nebraska.

Demographic - Due to AM 610 KCSR's heavy commitment to local news and service, the CSR stands for Community Service Radio.  Our demographic is 35-plus.

Format - Stereo AM 610 KCSR is all locally programmed. The music format is Country with Rock & Roll Classics mixed in.  Community based programs include Sound-Off at 8 a.m., Swap Shop at 9 a.m., Community Calendar at 11:25 a.m., and Community Focus during Live @ 4.

Featured Programs

  • News - Complete Local News airs daily at 6 a.m., 7 a.m., Noon, 4 p.m., and 5 p.m. The ABC News Network airs at the top of every hour. News updates air eleven times a day. Breaking news as it happens. Plus Paul Harvey five times a day.  Live @ 4 is a full hour of news and sports information, plus editorials. 
  • Weather - Exclusive KCSR Skywatch Weather Radar Reports for Nebraska, Wyoming, and South Dakota are aired 3 times per hour.  Breaking Weather as it happens.
  • Sports - Cornhusker Football & Basketball, Chadron  High School Football & Basketball (boys & girls), Colorado  Rockies, Broncos,  NASCAR, Local Legion Baseball, and coverage of Nebraska  State Wrestling Tournaments are all aired on Stereo AM 610 KCSR.
  • Ag Programming - Includes Mid-America Ag Network, Brownfield Ag Network, Cattleman's Corner, and Livestock News Network.  Ag programs air a total of 16 times each week day and 3 times on Saturday.
