(Neb)-Lincoln Hosts National Personal Finance Challenge
LINCOLN, Neb. (AP) - High school students from around the country were in Lincoln this weekend for the National Personal Finance Challenge, hosted by the Nebraska Council on Economic Education,
Students came from 17 states from Alabama to California with the winners receiving contributions to college savings accounts in the Nebraska Education Savings Trust.
Nebraska State Treasurer Don Stenberg, who helped organize the event, says the students have shown knowledge and skills that many adults lack. Stenberg served as a completion judge along with University of Nebraska officials and regional bank executives.
