(Neb)-Smith Agrees With Trump On Iran
GERING - 3rd District Congressman Adrian Smith says President Trump's decision to pull out of a nuclear deal with Iran will ultimately result in a better deal in the future.
Smith says he's shared Trump's concerns about the agreement from the beginning and "There were already concerns about compliance, and so the fact that the U.S. would say we need to take another look at this is to come up ultimately with an alternative."
Smith admits he doesn't know how long it will take to come up with an "alternative" deal, but believes in the end it will be better than what was agreed to by then-President Obama.
The Congressman is home in Gering this weekend and has 2 public events planned tomorrow. At 9:00, he'll hold a mobile office session at the Sioux County Courthouse and at 2:00 he has a roundtable in Alliance with the Chamber of Commerce at Newberry's Coffee Cafe
