(AP) - The U.S. Education Department is conducting separate investigations of alleged sexual violence or retaliation involving three Wyoming entities - the University of Wyoming, Northwest Community College and the Natrona County School District.
The Casper Star-Tribune reports the investigations at UW and Northwest Community College both involve separate cases of sexual violence and retaliation, while the Natrona County district investigations involve one for sexual violence and another for retaliation related to disability discrimination.
The investigations are being conducted by the federal department's Office of Civil Rights, which provides no details of active investigations and lists the investigations as pending.
UW's sexual violence and retaliation investigations were both opened on July 6. The Northwest Community College retaliation investigation was opened last July 26 and its sexual violence inquiry began on July 22, 2016.
