(Neb)-Chadron Aquatics Center Closed For Third Day

CHADRON - The Chadron Area Aquatics and Wellness Center remains closed for a third day today due to an as-yet undetermined mechanical problem that's left the building too cold for comfortable swimming.

      City official Janet Johnson says the problem is in the portion of the HVAC system that brings in fresh air from outside to be heated, but she doesn't know whether the issue is that the air isn't being heated or something else.

     Johnson says since the problem occurred over the holiday weekend, technicians have just now arrived to pinpoint and fix what's wrong. She hopes to have the Aquatics and Wellness Center open tomorrow, but says that depends on the technicians.
