(SD)-Montana Woman Arrested For Summerset Stabbing Death
STURGIS, S.D. (AP) - A Montana woman has been charged with murder in the stabbing death early Wednesday morning of a Black Hills woman in the Interstate 90 town of Summerset, west of Rapid City.
The body of 49-year-old Phyllis Mastin of Summerset was discovered in her mobile home about 2:30 am while 38-year-old Stormy Gayle Marsh was arrested later in the day at a Rapid City motel.
Court documents show Marsh told investigators that Mastin's ex-boyfriend had been in the mobile home, that the 3 of them got into a physical fight, and that Mastin told her to leave.
The documents also Mastin was stabbed several times and that a knife and gun were found under her body while Marsh had Mastin's car and cell phone when she was arrested.
59-year old Craig Price, manager of the mobile home park where Mastin lived, told the Rapid City Journal that Mastin was "a nice tenant" who never generated a single complaint to him and had lived in there about 7 years.
