(Neb)-Two Chadron Men Arrested In Home Invasion Assault
CHADRON - Two Chadron men have been charged with multiple counts for an alleged home invasion in Chadron 2-1/2 weeks ago.
21-year old Dustin Serres and 23-year old Brandon Dehling were both arrested Tuesday and taken to the Dawes County on $10,000 bond. Serres has since been released on bail while Dehling remains in custody.
Officer Chelsey DeBerg says Chadron police responded Saturday June 24th to a report of 2 men forcing their way inside a home on Ann Street.
One of the 2 occupants of the home was able to call police and said the second occupant, a male, was being assaulted by the 2 intruders...who were gone when police arrived.
Officer DeBerg says that over the course of the next two weeks, investigators were able to identify the two assailants as Serres and Dehling. Both were identified and arrested on Tuesday.
Dehling is charged with 1 felony - strangulation - and 3 misdemeanors: 3rd-degree assault, disturbing the peace, and 1st-degree criminal trespass.
Serres faces 2 felonies - 1st-degree false imprisonment and aiding in the consumption of a felony - as well as misdemeanor disturbing the peace and 1st-degree criminal trespass. The false imprisonment charge is for keeping the man being assaulted from leaving.
