(Neb)-Nebraska Lottery Distributes $11.2-M For Last Quarter Of Fiscal Year
LINCOLN, Neb. (AP) - The Nebraska Lottery distributed more than $11.2-million dollars at the end of June to education, environmental and other causes in the state. The distribution covered lottery proceeds for the final quarter of the fiscal year.
More than $648.6 million dollars has been distributed since the state lottery began in 1993. Most of the money from lottery games in Nebraska is split between an education fund and an environmental trust fund. Each of those received $5 million.
The Nebraska State Fair received more than $1.1 million, while programs to help compulsive gamblers received more than $122,000.
