(Neb)-Domestic Violence, Weapons Counts Land Man In Jail
CHADRON - A Chadron man is in jail on a combination of felony and misdemeanor counts stemming from an alleged domestic assault a week ago Sunday.
28-year old Samuel Mullins is being held on $10,000 bond for a misdemeanor count of 3rd Degree Domestic Assault and felony counts of Strangulation, Terroristic Threats, and Possession of a Deadly Weapon by a Felon.
Chadron Police Chief Tim Lordino says officers were contacted last Thursday by a victim of an alleged domestic assault and began in investigation.
Multiple interviews over the course of several days led to the issuance of a search warrant for a Chadron residence that was served on Tuesday. Officers seized a machete with an 18-inch blade, several journals and a cellular phone.
Lordino says the combination of the interviews and the search warrant raid resulted in the arrest of Mullins.
