By: John Axtell Posted at: 04/19/2017 02:04 AM
LINCOLN, Neb. (AP) - The Nebraska Public Service Commission has scheduled a public input meeting on the route for the Keystone XL pipeline in Nebraska.

The daylong session will be May 3rd in York, running from 9 am - 7 pm CT with the doors opening at 8:00.  Public comment will be accepted on a first-come, first-serve basis with each speaker limited to 3-to-5 minutes.

Under the Major Oil Pipeline Siting Act, the Public Service Commission the right to hold a public meeting for input from the public at a location close to the proposed route and to make that input part of the public record.

The PSC had already scheduled a week-long formal public hearing August 7-11 in Lincoln on developer TransCanada's request for approval of the pipeline route, and the panel can still choose to hold an additional public meeting for comment.
