(Neb)-Crash North Of Rushville Claims One Life
RUSHVILLE - A young Pine Ridge man was killed Tuesday afternoon in a single-vehicle accident 10 miles north of Rushville. The Nebraska State Patrol says 21-year old Michael Hawk was a passenger in a 17-year old SUV that ran off Highway 87 about 4:10 pm.
The State Patrol says 25-year old William Reddy of Wounded Knee lost control of the SUV on a curve and it left the pavement before rolling.
Hawk was pronounced dead at the scene while Reddy was transported to the Indian Health Service Hospital in Pine Ridge, then to Rapid City Region Hospital. His condition and injuries are not known at this time.
The Patrol says neither Hawk nor Reddy was wearing a seat belt, and that the Sheridan County Sheriff’s Department assisted with the investigation.
