(Wyo)-Antiques Roadshow Not Coming To Gillette After All
GILLETTE, Wyo. (AP) - The long-running PBS television program "Antiques Roadshow" isn't coming to Gillette this summer after all. Gillette was a last-minute addition to a tour that starts in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, in June, but PBS says logistical issues led to the decision cancel the Gillette stop.
The Gillette Cam-plex was to be the site for the visit and general manager Paul Foster says he and his staff are disappointed because they been trying to book the popular TV show for at least eight years.
Foster says they had been looking forward to the exposure the show would bring the Cam-plex and Gillette.
The network does say that dropping the August 19th visit doesn't mean Antiques Roadshow is giving up on Wyoming because planning is already underway to reschedule a stop in Wyoming as part of a future tour.
