(Neb)-Worker Burned In Accident At Western Sugar Plant
SCOTTSBLUFF - The Western Sugar Cooperative says a contractor hired to clean evaporator units at its Scottsbluff factory was injured in an accident Friday evening.
Western Sugar Director of Media Relations Heather Luther says a worker with Rocky Mountain Specialty Services, which has offices in Wyoming and other locations, was burned in the accident but she gives no details about the accident itself.
Luther does say the man was taken to Regional West Medical Center in Scottsbluff, then was taken to a hospital outside the area. The man's name has not been released due to health privacy rules.
A spokesman for OSHA - the federal Occupational Safety and Health Administration- in Omaha told KNEB radio it will be investigating the incident.
