(Neb.)-Swimming Pool Project Will Be On November Ballot In Chadron Listen
(Chadron)-The swimming pool project vote will officially be on the November ballot in the city of Chadron.
The city of Chadron was informed Tuesday evening by the Dawes County Clerk’s office that the petition to “impose an additional one-half percent sales and use tax to construct the proposed swimming pool, fitness and therapy facility had been completed and was available to be picked up.

Dawes County clerk Cheryl Feist has certified 575 valid signatures and those were accepted. This meets the 15 percent of the registered voter requirement for this issue to be placed on the November 4th general election ballot. 512 valid signatures were required to put this issue on the ballot. 652 signatures were submitted to the clerk’s office for verification Thursday August 14th.
A special city council meeting will be held Monday at 6:00 PM to consider a resolution to place this issue on the ballot.
