(Neb.)-Chadron City Council Met Monday Night
(Chadron)- The Chadron City Council met Monday night in regular session.
A special meeting of the Chadron City Council will be held Monday August 25th to discuss the proposal of the city sales and use tax and the proposed swimming pool project. The petition signatures were turned into the county clerk’s office and the city did not have them. The board will also hear performance evaluations for City Manager Wayne Anderson and City Clerk Donna Rust at this special meeting. The meeting begins at 6:00 P M in council chambers.
The board proclaimed this week Pine Ridge Job Corps week and thanked the job corps for the numerous projects they have done for the city.
The boards met newly sworn in Chadron Police Officer Trevor Jacobson. He came to Chadron to attend college and met his wife Amber here. He started working with campus security and now with the Chadron Police Department.
Lots of discussion was made in regards to the 2014-2015 Chadron City Employee Salary Schedule. The board voted to remove the city council member raises. The board has not had a pay increase in salary in 24 years.
The board approved a claim in the amount of 4,851.65 for the pavement of district number 126, also know as Ash Street.
