(S.D.)-Nebraska Man Injured In Semi-Truck Rollover South Of Oelrichs Friday
(Oelrichs)-A one vehicle semi-truck accident occurred one half mile south of Oelrichs Friday morning at 10:50 A.M.
74 year old Reinhold Schwartz Jr., of Minatare, Nebraska, was driving a 2012 Columbia Freight truck with a load of gravel south on U.S. Highway 385. He drove off the west side of the road and onto the shoulder. He attempted to steer back onto the roadway. The gravel load shifted as Schwartz overcorrected the steering and freight truck rolled once and came to a rest blocking the south bound lanes.
Schwartz was not wearing a seatbelt and was transported to a hospital in Rapid City with serious non-life threatening injuries. The southbound lanes of U.S. Highway 385 were closed and traffic was detoured around the crash site while the South Dakota Department of Transportation removed gravel that spilled as a result of the crash.
