(Neb.)-Dawes County Commissioner Meeting Thursday Morning
(DAWES COUNTY)-The Dawes County commissioners will convene for a regularly scheduled meeting on a different day this week than normal. Normally the commissioners meet on Wednesday mornings, but due to a scheduling conflict, they will meet on Thursday morning the 7th at the Dawes County courthouse. They will first convene as the Board of Equalization at 9:00 a.m. to discuss tax corrections with assessor Lindy Coleman.
They will begin the commissioner portion of their meeting at 9:20 a.m. with the approval of claims. Other items on the agenda will include a discussion with assessor Coleman regarding airport zoning regulations, road updates with highway superintendent Larry Hankin as well as the signing of a contract regarding project #C-23, and a time for public comment. At 10:30 a.m., city of Chadron 911 supervisor Tony Serbousek will be on hand to provide a communications equipment update and information on the generator project.
Additional agenda items include a sheriff’s distress warrant report and a surplus request from communications.
Correspondence will include items from the Nebraska Department of Roads regarding a surface transportation program, Western Nebraska Community College regarding a notice of intent to move GED offices, and the department of Agriculture regarding support of dairy industry development in Nebraska.
The meeting starts at 9:00 a.m. and is open to the public.
