(S.D.)-Casino Robber Sentenced To 20 Years In Prison
RAPID CITY, S.D. (AP) - A Rapid City man who threatened to shoot a clerk during a casino robbery last year has been sentenced to 20 years in prison.
Authorities say 30-year-old Rudolph Gabe and another man, Bradley Lightfoot, robbed the East St. Pat Casino on July 6th, 2012 with a handgun and a sword. During an ensuing chase with law officers, they threw cash out of their vehicle. The chase ended when their vehicle crashed through several fences.
The Rapid City Journal reports that Gabe pleaded guilty to first-degree burglary. In exchange, prosecutors dismissed charges for aggravated assault and petty theft. He also was not charged as a repeat offender.
Lightfoot has pleaded guilty to burglary and is scheduled for sentencing in March.
