(Neb.)-Names Released In Fatal Accident Near Hemingford
(Hemingford)-More information has been received regarding a motor vehicle accident resulting in a fatality near Hemingford. The Star Herald in Scottsbluff initially reported that authorities arrested an unidentified man on a charge of motor vehicle homicide Monday in connection with the accident.
Box Butte County Attorney Kathleen Hutchison was not releasing information on the man charged or the victim, however new information from KCOW in Alliance states the Attorney’s Office issued a press release later on Tuesday afternoon releasing the names and ages of both.
The release states that 32-year-old Bobby Elford of Alliance, who was a passenger in a vehicle driven by 26-year-old Dylan Kaiser of Alliance, was pronounced dead at Box Butte General Hospital Monday at 2:25 pm. Elford was transported to the hospital from 7660 Hayes Road, located about six miles southwest of Hemingford.
An autopsy on Elford was performed at Regional West Medical Center in Scottsbluff Tuesday morning. Details as to the cause of death are still under investigation.
Kaiser was arrested for misdemeanor motor vehicle homicide and was released by the Box Butte County Court on a personal recognizance. The accident is being investigated by the Box Butte County Sheriff’s Office and the Nebraska State Patrol.
