(CHADRON)-The third annual Putt A-Round (PAR) took place last Saturday night, February 22nd. Thirty-nine teams entered the contest in an effort to obtain miniature golf superiority. Teams of five played a round of miniature golf at each of 13 participating businesses, and the creativity of the businesses made the putting holes interesting and fun.

The team, The Five Deadly Sins, which consists of Louann Witt, Karl Witt, Neil Bradford, Ephram Bradford and Donald Matt, took first place honors for the third year in a row this year. They won $400 and free entry into next year’s contest.

The second place team was "The Chamber Bogey Makers" with Philip Jensen, Toni Heiting, Karen Snook, Jim Mapes and Dwayne Gardner. They won $300.

The "Who’s Your Caddy” team with Clint Norman, Shane Norman, Derek Ginn, Tim Metz, and Andrea Franklin finished in third place and won $200, and the Best Team Costume was awarded to the "Clowns and Amigos.”

Tim Barkley received recognition for the low individual score and the low designated driver score was awarded to Louanne Witt.

Proceeds from this event help support youth golf programs as well as the Middle School Playground Project.
