(Neb.)-Crawford City Council To Meet Tuesday Evening

(CRAWFORD)-The Crawford city council will convene Tuesday evening for a regularly scheduled meeting at City Hall council chambers, 135 Elm Street in Crawford. On the agenda, a presentation of the city of Crawford audit for FYE 2013 as well as an approval of the election of officers for the Crawford Volunteer Fire Department to include fire chief Brian Prosser, first assistant Jeff Kennedy, and second assistant Tom Mitchell. Also on the agenda, the approval or disapproval of CWSRF claim #10 and CDBG claim #10, summer ads for Crawford, the city pool, and the golf course, and a lease with Moody Ranches Inc. for 2014-2015.
 
The council will also approve or disapprove attendance at this year’s Nebraska Planning Conference in Kearney taking place March 19th-21st, the treasurer’s report, and a proclamation for Gambling Awareness Month in March. The Sheriff’s office will give an office update and Jerry Pierce will be on hand to discuss the sheriff’s office with the council.
 
In addition to bills and claims, the council will received reports from RSVP, and several boards if they have one, including the Golf, Parks, Ponderosa Villa, Hospital, SWANN, Fire, and Rodeo Boards. There will also be a time for public comment at the end of the meeting.
 
The meeting agenda is kept continually current and is available for public viewing at the office of the city clerk. The mayor and city council reserve the right to rearrange the order of agenda items if deemed necessary and also reserve the right to adjourn into executive session if deemed necessary, pursuant to section 84-1410 of the Nebraska Revised Statues.
 
The meeting begins at 6:30 p.m. and is open to the public.
