(Neb.)-Fuel Prices Down In Chadron
(Chadron)-Driving down Third Street in Chadron, people may notice something that will make them smile: the price of gas! Fuel prices have been up and down like a yo-yo for quite some time, but it seems that as of late, prices have been declining, and it appears they will continue to do so.
According to the Fuel Gauge Report from AAA, the national average for a gallon of regular unleaded gasoline is $3.339, with diesel at $3.873. In Chadron, prices are falling right around our state average, which is $3.301 for a gallon of regular unleaded and $3.831 for diesel.
Across the United States, the lowest prices are in Missouri with $3.033 for a gallon of regular unleaded and diesel at $3.831. Hawaii is showing the highest fuel prices, with a gallon of regular unleaded averaging $4.140 and diesel at $4.894.
Prices on fuel have been declining for the consumer since around June 1, however, crude and wholesale seem to have begun their decline nearer to August 1. All prices are still on the downward path, which is good news for travelers right now. To keep an eye on fuel trends, visit www.fuelgaugereport.aaa.com.
